Retreat opportunities (local):
Registration for the retreat at Hallelujah Farms on Oct 23-25 is closed, but we're going a second time this year, on Feb. 26 - 28th. Registration for the February retreat isn't open yet, but please mark your calendars and keep your eyes peeled (on the LT newsletter and through the alumni listserv) for when registration opens.
Trainings and community-building (local):
We had the Rev. Alexia Salvatierra faith-rooted organizing training and Co-Creation dinner in August. The Christmas party is December 11th; Love Matters is May 14th. This month (Oct) we have a refresher training on One-to-One Relational Meetings at 40 Prescott Street on Tuesday October 27th from 6:30 to 8:30. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested, and please bring $10 to cover dinner; space is limited!
This is new! We are looking to encourage prayerful and prophetic work of fellows & alumni through micro-grants - small investments that enable you and others to carry out some cool project or community-building initiative you're dreaming about (up to $100, with the possibility of $150 in special circumstances). Anyone can apply for these grants, you don't have to be local to Boston. Apply here!
We began a listserv/google group so that alumni can connect directly with each other about opportunities; (follow this link and click apply for membership - Rebecca will add you!)
We're updating our LinkedIn page so that alumni can connect professionally;
We updating our “alumni” page on the website so that current information about alumni opportunities can be accessed there (still in process…).
Working Groups (local):
These are opportunities for you to participate in and influence the vision and implementation of the Life Together programming year. Currently we offer working groups for Love Matters and Recruitment, and we recruit for both groups in the late fall/early winter.
Spiritual/Action Small Groups (local):
These groups are just taking shape. We hope to bring together people who work for justice in the world and want a contemplative spiritual community with folks immersed in their own contemplative practices who are seeking a community that will support them to take action for collective liberation. Contact Seth Woody (email@example.com) if you're interested, and read more here.
Affinity Groups (local):
We're working to connect alumni with similar interests, who can also act as a resource and source of accountability to Life Together staff and the leadership team. These are still in the dreaming phase - we'll let you know once a group has coalesced. (And if you have an idea for an affinity group, let Rebecca know!)
